"The War of the Lost Slipper"
A musical-pedagogical performance for children (ages 8 -11)
In
the present article we will share our experience regarding
the creation of an interactive musical - pedagogical performance.
This task was rather complex as we aimed to combine music
and artistic - drama elements with musical pedagogical activities
through interactive participation of the audience (children).
We shall present you the course of our work from the birth
of the initial idea till the implementation of our project.

«Sweeping the traces of prejudice ...»
Using
as a material the story of Zorz Sari "The Boom"
we have built an activity which tries to touch our interior
social fears and prejudice. The social symbol of a boom and
furthermore the profession of cleaner challenges us to trace
the different roles which are taking place in our daylife
and brings us to face stereotyped reactions and thoughts.
All the above mentioned are being approached through the use
of Orff Schulwerk system tools. Individually, or working as
a team we are dealing with object's transformations, we are
improvising on rhythmical and movement creations and we are
working on speech and melody.

Musical-Drama Performance for World Languages
The
European Day of Languages is held annually on the 26 September
and it aims to alert the public to the importance of language
learning, to increase awareness and appreciation of all languages,
and to encourage lifelong language learning. The European
Day of Languages offered us the starting point for the planning
of a school musical-drama performance. In this project, we
focused on world languages as well on other communication
systems (Morse code, Sign language - finger spelling, Braille
system - a method that is used by blind people to read and
write, Fryctories - system of communication with fire from
torches). This particular project is addressing to learners
of 5th and 6th grade of Elementary School and it is designed
such as to ensure the participation of the whole class.
